Empowering Emerging African Filmmakers

Conceived by the African Cultural Agency, the Talented Cameras of Africa (TCA) program offers a dynamic and hands-on platform for emerging African filmmakers. Since its creation in 2018, the program has welcomed 5 to 8 African talented young directors each year at the Cannes Film Festival..

Each participant is selected with a short film that has been awarded at some of the most prestigious African film festivals, official partners of the Pavilion.

Their short films are featured in the Marché du Film catalog, showcasing a diversity of perspectives from countries such as Senegal, South Africa, Egypt, Benin, Cameroon, Cabo Verde, Niger, and Mali.
